Helping our Son's Teacher get back on His feet

[03/06/2025] Hello everyone. :) I am sharing this story of Our Son's 5th Grade Teacher, Mr. L. (Not mentioning full name to respect His privacy). From what our Son mentioned, it sounded like His teacher basically had a mental breakdown during class & left their classroom last week in the middle of the school day. Our Son elaborated on what led up to that incident by sharing that everything began when a group of disruptive students were repeatedly asked to quiet down by Mr. L. Our Son's classmate then asked them to be quiet & the group responded by throwing a juice box at the student's head. Mr. L sadly broke down & asked the class to take life a bit more seriously. He shared He has been homeless since the start of the school year, sleeping in His car, but still comes to work with a smile everyday because He loves to teach, & wants the students to be more respectful towards those that are trying to teach them. When I tell You all that it broke My heart to hear that, I mean it shattered My heart to pieces. A few weeks ago, during a Parent-Teacher conference, I could see the enthusiasm & drive Mr. L genuinely has for His profession as an educator. He asked My Husband & I if We did some of the fun activities He does with His students, such as using cookies or candies during some of their science activities to have them motivated to be much more engaged. I mentioned I never had, and Mr. L shared He couldn't wait to do all those activities with His own students. We expressed our happiness & appreciation for Mr. L because for the first time, our Son was motivated at home to study for His science class. At times I find notes scattered around His bedroom. Mr. L's passion for what He does reflects daily as our Son talks our ears off about how amazing He is. He is such a kind hearted person, always smiling, I would never have known He was going through such financial hardship. Mr. L is a first year teacher, 23 years old, fresh out of college. Educators are the backbone of our nation as they dedicate their lives to trying to ensure our children have bright futures. My Husband & I ask our Family & Friends to kindly consider a small donation to help Mr. L get back on His feet. We want Him to know how appreciated He is & want to remind Him to never forget what inspired Him to be a teacher. We know times are hard for a lot of folks right now, simply sharing Mr. L's story would be appreciated. He has no idea We are running this campaign (as the story of Him sleeping in His car was shared only with His students & not the Parents) & hope whatever help He recieves comes as a nice surprise to help ease the burden of financial strain. The saying of "it takes a village" to raise a child is very true. We count daily on our educators to help guide our children & I would love for us to come together to now help an educator in need. Thank You so much for taking the time to read His story. ***We will post an update once He recieves His gift from everyone!!!***
