Helping Oussama and His Family Escape the War in Gaza

Dear compassionate friends,

I write on behalf of my dear brother Oussama Enshassi and his family to get your support and help in funding the essential cost to evacuate Oussama and his family from Gaza through Rafah Crossing point.

Oussama is a third-year PhD student in Artificial Intelligence (AI) in scheduling optimization at UKM Malaysia, and he has been working as a lecturer in the Computer Science Department at Al-Aqsa University, Gaza.

Oussama is facing unimaginable hardship amidst the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip, Palestine. His neighbourhood has been devastated by relentless bombings, leaving his home fully destroyed (which was close to Al-Shifa Hospital) forcing them to leave the city heading to the south (Rafah city) where they have no one or nowhere to stay. Oussama’s family has been displaced 8 times in the last 6 months, in which they are living in constant fear, hunger, and lack of health care. It breaks our hearts to witness their suffering, knowing they deserve so much more than the horrors of war.

In this time of desperation, Oussama has made the difficult decision to seek refuge elsewhere for the safety and well-being of his family, including his wife, and four young children (Karam, Abood, Adam, Yahya), the youngest one was born in February 2024 during the war. However, they are met with significant obstacles, including the exorbitant fees demanded to cross the borders out of Gaza into Egypt. I urge you to join us in supporting Oussama's journey to safety by helping us raise 50,000 USD (67,000 CAD). This amount will cover the necessary expenses to secure their passage out of the conflict zone and towards a brighter future.
