This morning I received some terrible news involving their youngest son Leon. Little Leon, who will be 2 in July, has been involved in a freak accident resulting in the partial amputation of his foot. He has undergone one surgery at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital and will be transferred to Brisbane, where he will undergo a second surgery on Wednesday. Anyone who knows Dane and Ellie knows how kind-hearted and generous they are when it comes to helping others out. They've had a bloody rough trot the past few months, and I want to show them how much love and support they have behind them. My goal is to raise a few thousand dollars, to begin with, to help with the day-to-day bills and expenses while they work through this unfortunate event as a family. As you can imagine, it is quite a stressful time for the both of them, and hopefully we as a community can get behind them and take a bit of that stress off of their shoulders.
**UPDATE** Unfortunately the doctors were unable to save Leons foot, he has had a full amputation from the ankle down and will have a long road to recovery. He had lost a lot of blood and required a blood transfusion. He is being monitored for the next 48 Hours to make sure he regains circulation to his lower leg.

Any little bit counts. Let's show these guys how much we love them!
