Helping Paul Barros recover from Covid

Paul Barros, an employee of Kellerstrass Oil since 1995 and a very valuable member of our integration team tested positive for Covid19 towards the end of March.  By April 6th, he was transported to Ogden Regional Medical Center and put in ICU on a ventilator.   

Over the past 30 days, Paul has been heavily sedated and intubated fighting the virus. With potential long term damage to the esophagus and vocal cords, the medical team performed a tracheotomy a few days ago and removed the intubation tube and he regained consciousness.

He is still not breathing on his own and will need a lot of recovery time to heal and get back his health.   They will be moving Paul to a care center today that specializes in Covid recovery. 

Paul is the sole breadwinner in his home and will have the burden of covering their living expenses and medical bills he may have to cover after treatment.

This notice is to inform our employees that Parkland allows team members to donate their PTO time to another employee that is in need.  In addition, a Go Fund me page has been set up for the Barros family for anyone to donate a cash amount.

Any help you could give them in their time of need would be greatly appreciated by the Barros family.
