Aaron's Story:
Aaron Pines is a math teacher at Edison HS in Huntington Beach, CA and head baseball coach eat Los Amigos in Fountain Valley, CA. He is an avid fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers, listens to Metallica and loves watching WWE. His all-time favorite wrestler is “The Rock”. In fact, he has a signed poster from Dwayne Johnson in his classroom. As a math teacher, he always does such a great job connecting with his students and motivating them to be great even when times are tough. Well, unfortunately, things recently got a lot tougher for Mr. Pines.
One of our Edison Charger family members is in a fight for his life, and we need your help to support him. Some of you know that Math Teacher Aaron Pines had cancer and battled through it twice. Unfortunately, the cancer is back. It is a very aggressive form of cancer. He began treatment again last week at the City of Hope. Aaron is trying to stay positive and do whatever it takes to beat this. He asked if he could teach from home, because he didn't want to leave his students and wanted to stay busy.
Over the weekend we were able to send Aaron a message that hopefully brightened his day and gave him the "pick me up" needed to continue his fight. One of our staff members was able to connect with Dwayne Johnson and here is his reply. Take a look at the personal message Dwayne Johnson sent to Aaron...Personal Message to Aaron Pines
Lastly, we started this Go Fund Me page on his behalf to help support him through this difficult time. Donations will go to help him with medical expenses and financial support during his time out of the classroom.
