I am Sewraj Boodhooa and I have created a GoFundMe page in the hope of lending some help to my first cousin back in Mauritius who is hit with colon cancer and is currently in need of funds to cover expenses for his surgery. I am posting the below message on his behalf and if you have any questions I'll be more than happy to attend to them.

"My name is Rajah Ramjee, I am 43 years old and was diagnosed with colon cancer in January 2021. I was born and currently live in Mauritius and I have been through quite a lot since I was diagnosed with the cancer. I had to fork Rs641,000 (Mauritian Rupees) which is about AUD$23,000 to have my first colectomy operation completed back in September 2021. This operation has allowed me to pass stool in a colostomy bag as I was completely blocked before.

I was originally been placed in a queue by the public health system for them to send me to India to perform the operation but the situation has deteriorated very rapidly that I had to opt for getting the operation done privately in Mauritius itself.

I do have a second operation to do and it's called colostomy reversal, this is to reattach my colon back together. Unfortunately, I have exhausted a significant amount of funds already which brings me to a shortage of funds as the operation is costing Rs341,000 (Mauritian Rupees) which is about AUD$12,000.

I am currently on chemo as well to eliminate any cancer cells left behind to prevent spreading.

I am pleading my case in front of you in the hope to achieving gathering the necessary funds to complete the 2nd procedure which is due end of February. I do have a son, Shain, who is going to turn 8 on 16/04/2022 to which I am hoping to spend more quality time and continue creating beautiful memories after this is all over.
