The Rivera Family

Alex and Lulu are fighting a battle that no child should have to fight - the fight to survive the loss of their mom, Noelle Elizabeth Rivera, and the fight to recover from a medical emergency.

Noelle, 33, and her two children, Lulu, 9, and Alex, 7, were on their way back home early Monday morning, 11/14, from a road trip when tragedy hit (https://www.sacbee.com/news/local/article268748462.html).

In the following days, weeks, and months ahead, Lulu and Alex will undergo surgeries, hospital stays, and many doctor appointments to aid their recovery. As you can imagine, meeting basic needs for food and shelter is already costly, and medical costs will be enormous.

It was at this point that we, close family friends of the Rivera family, started this GoFundMe to ease the burden of their maternal grandmother (Remy), maternal grandfather (Joey), aunt/Noelle's sister (Maen), and uncle/Noelle's brother (Kirk Rivera), in helping with costs associated with Noelle's funeral arrangements but also for the short- and long-term care of Lulu and Alex. We realized we needed the help of the community.
