Help Azhar, a Widowed Mother in Gaza with 3 Young Children

My name is Adèle, and I live in the south of France.

Like many of you, I'm saddened and feel useless in the face of the despair we see in Gaza. So I agreed to run this campaign for my friend Azhar, a widowed mother with 3 young children to support.

On December 13th, 2023 Azhar’s family’s home was destroyed by the occupation’s bombs. 10 days later the occupation bombed a market where her husband was shopping and killed him. For a long time afterward, stricken by grief and without resources, Azhar and her family would go without food for days at a time, often surviving on tree leaves and ground up dry bread. Since losing their home they have frequently been displaced, sometimes without shelter.

This campaign aims to provide vital support to this family; donations are Azhar’s sole source of income and her family’s sole means of survival.

Azhar was recently displaced again, from Gaza City to Khan Younis. Without enough funds for transportation she was forced to flee on foot. She needs our help securing shelter and replacing basic necessities. A tent alone costs $800. She also needs approximately $250 a week to be able to feed her family.
