My name is Salina Martinez. I’m 33, a wife and a mother of two beautiful girls aged 7 & almost 2. On August 30th I was diagnosed with a triple negative invasive ductal carcinoma. Basically the worst kind of breast cancer. My mother is a survivor of breast cancer, however I believe her’s was different than mine. Being a mother myself you can imagine I am terrified of the fate of my children, it’s a weight that weighs heavy on me daily. I am about to start a long journey of chemo, surgery, radiation, more surgery, and then hopefully I can be declared cancer free. This terrible diagnosis is taking me off work for a year. I’m a very established makeup artist of 10 years. I’ve had the burden of cancelling on all my clients booked this year and into 2022. My husband is doing what he can with his job to try and continue working while taking time off during my treatments. We value his job and insurance so much because I am also a type 1 diabetic and rely on his medical coverage to cover my constant need of medications and specialists. I ask if it’s in your heart to donate to my family. I don’t want these girls lives to stop, I want them to continue having everything they deserve. Until I can get financial assistance we still have all the burdens of everyday bills on our shoulders. If you can’t donate please feel free to share this page with your friends and family.
