Helping Sarah
On September 25th, 2019, Josh Worthen, husband of 23 years to Sarah, father of four children plus a heavenly daughter who gained her wings in 2014 at the young age of 12, three-time brain cancer survivor, Air Force Veteran, CSUB Graduate, son, brother, friend, and faithful priesthood holder who served an honorable two year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints as well as several callings that was asked of the Lord; collapsed from a heart attack. He never opened his eyes nor spoke another word the following two weeks.
In the early morning of October 9th, Joshua Alan Worthen, passed away peacefully with his wife, Sarah, by his side. He was 44 years old.
Sarah works full time to help support her family. Her oldest, Todd, is a freshman in college, Jacob, is in high school, Nathan, is in sixth grade, and her youngest, Emma is in fourth grade. Her oldest daughter, Lauryn, would have been 18 years old next month.
Most widows would be covered financially through life insurance, however, Josh was ineligible for coverage with his pre-existing condition.
Fortunately, Sarah has a great support system & has received an immense amount of love, prayers, meals, phone calls, flowers, & the kindest words to lift her spirits. The struggle will be long & hard for my sweet sister & her children. This go fund me is to help w/ the income that has been lost.
