Helping Shavaun With Rehab
Donation protected
Dear Family,
Great news, God has answered our prayers about Shavaun!
Shavaun has been in treatment for almost two weeks. I've spoken with her today and she is due to be released with a follow-up plan for her future health and well-being. This plan includes a search for a new job which will get her off her feet and will be better for her body to heal. She is also signed up for some intense out patient therapy which includes 3 trips to the Rehab facility a week (Mon, Wed, Thurs 6-9pm), she has also found several AA meetings that meet near her apartment regularly for convenience. She wants to live and has chosen the path for life.
I know we've done this before for her and I've spoken with Shavaun about this situtation. She is asking for our help, any financial help we can give to help her achieve this goal to kick her drinking habit.
Her # 1 concern is to pay for her rent for this past month as she has not been working. I know this family has been tapped financially, not only for Shavaun’s first hospitalization but also for Aunt Patti’s funeral and Moira’s evacuation. We are just asking for any financial help you may be able to give to help Shavaun achieve her goals. No pressure what-so-ever.
We are not setting any dollar amount goals. We are just asking if you can give, wonderful, if you can’t, totally understandable. The main thing is to continue to keep Shavaun in our prayers. It is prayer that has helped to get Shavaun to this point and prayers are continued to be needed to help get her where she needs to be to live the life God intended for her.
The funds we collect will be distributed through Mary, simply for convenience since Shavaun is not out of Rehab yet. Mary will get Shavaun's rent paid using the money we raise.
Thank you all in advance for any help you can give, but more importantly, for keeping Shiv in your prayers. What an amazing family we have and how proud the “Big One” and Grandma would be of us all.
Family is everything. If nothing else, I know that if I or any one of you needed anyone or anything, we would have an army of people who truly loved us and an Amazing God behind us all.
Praying God's favor on every single one of you! Loving you Big Much!
Jenny
