Helping Sophia beat Hepatocellular Carcinoma
Donation protected
Our beautiful baby girl, Sophia LaBorde, was just diagnosed with Hepatocellular Carcinoma, a type of liver cancer. She has tumors in her liver and her lungs, and while this type of cancer is fairly common in adults, it's very rare in children her age. However, she has an amazing team of doctors at Roswell and Oishei Children's Hospital in Buffalo, NY who have gotten her in to an international clinical study. We're confident that her doctors and God will be with her through this journey and we truly believe that she's going to beat this thing! As of now, she'll be doing chemotherapy for a few months to shrink the tumors and then we're hoping that the doctors will be able to remove the section of her liver that has been affected. The last couple of weeks have been a whirlwind, but we're ready to fight! We have an amazing family and community behind us and we're so grateful for each and every person who has reached out and who has been praying for our sweet warrior. We don't know how long this fight will be, which is why we don't really know how much financial help we'll end up needing. But we do know that any amount will allow us to focus solely on Sophia and her health. If you're unable to give financially, we totally understand. We truly believe that the most important thing right now is for as many people to be praying for Sophia as possible! So please continue to pray for our Warrior Princess and we'll continue to update everyone the best we can.
