Helping Support The Capiz Boys Future

For the past 18 months, we dreaded the reality of what April 19th brought us. Katie Capiz, mother of 4, passed away from a Glioblastoma. Katie fought bravely the way she lived her life. Embracing the challenge with a smile on her face. See, Katie was one of the toughest women I have ever met. I'm pretty sure when I met Katie, then pregnant with Cayden, she mentioned how she couldn't wait to get our kids on the ice to play hockey.

Katie had a passion for competition that fed into how she parented. There was no other parent louder on the sidelines cheering their kids and team. She couldn't wait to get on the ice and coach, not only her kids but the community. Katie's boys were her life, she made sure she stayed fit for them to keep up with their demanding schedules. That is why this has been so tough. The "fairness" of life is never a good enough argument over cancer; this cancer has taken a young mother from her four boys.

Knowing these boys, you see Katie in them. Cayden's nurturing nature, Tyler's wide eyes to the world, Bennet's humor, and Finn's endless energy keeps everyone on their toes. We sit back in awe of these four boys because their spirits haven't broken. They have bright futures, and we don't want that to change.

This Go Fund Me is strictly for these boys and their future, their education. The burden alone of raising four boys will be a hard one for Dan, so trying to help with supporting education for the boys is what we, as a community, can do to help them.
