Helping Tami with medical expenses.

Hi ! My name is Jeri Sanchez and I decided to help my friend Tami Schulte with this fund raiser because she just needs it ! I've known Tami for years through Cairn Connection a Women's hiking group , and have been on many fun adventures with her. On Nov 4th, 2023, a few women got together and went to San Diego for a hike at Volcan Mountain Preserve . After Tami went out to the bushes to "be like a bear", she became weak, dizzy, faint, clammy and a giant shock wave went up the back of her head and gave her a massive headache. She was helped out of the area and driven back home with a stop at the fire station to check her vitals, then eventually home because she didn't want to go to the ER . After Crystal told me what happened we both nagged her into going to urgent care for a check up ( 2 days later ) because I was worried she may have a heart issue. After going to urgent care she was sent to the ER, where an EGK , labs and a Cat scan were done. And then the news .....Tami, your heart is OK but you have a 4.7cm brain tumor. The next weeks were full of making appointments , more labs , MRI and doctors appointments . Then the task of figuring out who you would want to cut this thing out of your head . At 54 years old , getting this diagnosis throws your world upside down. And then to realize that the Co-pay for your new Insurance is $5500 a year , and the cycle ends Dec 31 . So she will have to pay this year and more starting Jan 2024 . She has Insurance through her work at Susan Lavorgna Elementary School in Temecula as the lunch lady but It's when you feel healthy that you think a big co-pay is a good idea . She already had a big bill for a nose cancer surgery 4 months ago before her new Insurance kicked in . Her brain surgery is scheduled for Dec 20th at UCLA. Tami gives to everyone else and now it's time to help her. If you have the means and the heart for my hiking buddy please consider giving her a little Christmas Joy and praying for her and the surgical team that will cut her from ear to ear on Dec 20th. The good news about her tumor is they believe it's going to be benign . Thanks to all who can help , any amount is appreciated .
Merry Christmas and Thanks for helping to get Tami hiking again.
