Medical expenses for the Angele family
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Kennedie, and Morgan is my cousin! I have set this page up as a way to help raise money for the medical expenses throughout Morgan and John Angele’s journey, and try to lessen the financial burden. Any amount you feel in your heart to donate will lessen that worry, and be greatly appreciated by the Angele family.
Below is Morgan and John’s story:
“Brooks Hayes Angele passed away peacefully in his parent's arms on June 30. 2022. He was born at 6:31am and met the eyes of Jesus at 11:08am the same day. We will cherish his memory as the brief gift it was.
John and I were so excited when we found out Baylor was going to be a big brother. The due date was August 17th, 2022 and all the normal excitement of planning was in full swing. Then in March a routine ultrasound slowed everything down when it revealed that Brooks was not growing as he should. This sent us to have more detailed ultrasounds done. On April 21st we had our next appointment. The doctors came in and said it wasn’t good. Brooks’ bones are brittle and not growing as they should. Some bones are not there yet and they should be. His rib cage is too tiny for his lungs to expand. After more blood work and genetic testing was completed a few weeks later, doctors diagnosed him with a rare genetics disorder called Osteogenesis Imperfecta or looked to be a new variant of it. There are several types of OI. Doctors told us it looks like type 2, which is considered most lethal.. The doctors informed us that Brooks more than likely will not make it long after birth, if at all. Our whole world seemed to stop at this point.
Many prayers have been going up in full submission to God’s will to be done. On June 24th we received God’s answer. My water broke at 32 weeks. I was taken by ambulance to UAMS and admitted that afternoon. Around 9:30pm that night the OB doctor and Brook’s doctor brought in chairs and sat down with us for an hour and half. They told us Brooks was only measuring 27 weeks and explained what options we had for delivery. Legally they could not induce until week 34 so they wanted to monitor him and me for another two weeks to ensure my safety and see if he does develop anymore. On the night of June 29 the labor began and at 6:31am on June 30, 2022 baby Brooks entered this world with a heart beat and was laid on my chest and he looked at me!
God allowed us to hold our beautiful son and talk to him and love him and pray over him before he took his last breath.
We have peace knowing that Brooks is in heaven where he is now with full, perfect bones and smiling. And we know that we will be reunited with him again.”
