Helping the Argos

To Whom may Concern,
My name is Dominque Jackson and I’m reaching out to let you know that I’m creating this go-fund me account for Sherman and Rhonda Argo to assist with obtaining a vehicle that they can transport a large, motorized wheelchair. Insurance paid for the wheelchair, but they do not cover obtaining a vehicle that can transport the wheelchair.
Here is the story of Sherman and Rhonda Argo. As many of you know Sherman and Rhonda have been dealing with multiple illnesses for awhile. Currently, Rhonda is on disability due to health reasons for the last 7 to 8 years. Sherman has major incurable diseases which include CIDP, Carotid Artery Occlusive disease, and MCTD. Here is a brief description of each of the diseases.
Chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy (CIDP) is a rare type of autoimmune disorder. In an autoimmune disease, the body attacks its own tissues. In CIDP, the body attacks the myelin sheaths. These are the fatty coverings on the fibers that insulate and protect the nerves.
Mixed connective tissue disease (MCTD) is a rare autoimmune disease diagnosed when a specific antibody known as anti-U1-ribonucleoprotein is present, and there are features of at least two connective tissue diseases, including systemic lupus erythematosus, systemic sclerosis, polymyositis, dermatomyositis, and rheumatoid arthritis. There are no cures and limited treatment options.
Carotid artery occlusive disease is caused by atherosclerosis which in this instance is a complication that can be caused by the MCTD. Atherosclerotic plaques accumulate in the walls of the arteries and cause them to narrow (stenosis), or become so thick they completely block the flow of blood (occlude).
There are no cures for the diseases just treatment plans such as pain medication, IV Infusions, and self-care steps. Sherman has not been able to have infusions due to constant infections since the end of 2019. There is a possibility these autoimmune diseases will progress, and Sherman may not to be able to work in the future. Although the treatment plans somewhat help, it makes it difficult to work and do normal daily tasks. They have had reservations about asking for help and it’s a very uncomfortable situation to be in. However, we know God has a plan for Sherman and Rhonda!
They are in dire need of a source money to purchase transportation with the astronomical medical bills because Sherman is in and out of the hospital on a continuous and frequent basis. Furthermore, his medicines are more expensive than what they can afford and be able to purchase a vehicle.
If you can’t give money, please share this message with your friends and family. We really appreciate if you could spread the word and keep them in your prayers.

In Christ,
Dominique Jackson
