Helping the Dawod-Hemida family!

Meet the Dawod-Hemeida family: Mohamed, dalia, Hana, zaina, Tamara and Layla.

Ones of the nicest people I met and a part of the east village community.

A few days ago they got a vacate notice because of structural issues due to a luxury building being built next door.

They had to leave their home with a day notice and were placed in temporary hotel.

The hotel is inadequate for their families needs & is far from their school & community.

They are working with tenant organizers to challenge the luxury developer to place them in empty apartments but this will be a long process & they need an adequate place to live immediately.

Imagine the stress and anxiety from not knowing your next step and the need of giving your four little girls a safe place to sleep and live.

The goals of this fundraising is to give the family an opportunity to “breathe” from all the upcoming expenses this situation forced on them and hopefully help with renting a new apartment where the kids can stay with their friends and the community they love so much.
