Help Us Transform the Lives of Boracay’s Stray Animals
At Boracay Animal Adoption and Rescue Center (BAARC), we are a small but dedicated team of volunteers with one purpose—to give Boracay’s stray animals a place where they feel safe and cared for. Every day, we come across dogs and cats struggling to survive, some too weak to lift their heads, others still waiting at the same spot, hoping for an owner who will never return. In less than a year, we’ve poured our hearts into rescuing, healing, and finding homes for these forgotten souls. The work is exhausting and often heartbreaking, but every wagging tail, every grateful purr, and every life saved reminds us why we keep going.
Our Mission
Rescue – We save animals from neglect, abandonment, and life-threatening situations, giving them a chance at a safer, better life. Every dog and cat we take in is one less soul to suffer alone.
Medical Care – Every rescued animal gets vaccinations, deworming, and the vet care they need to heal. Spaying and neutering are a big part of what we do—helping prevent more animals from being born into tough situations.
Shelter & Fostering – Many find comfort in our shelter, while the most vulnerable, like newborn kittens, are fostered in our own homes, receiving care around the clock.
The Challenge
The number of stray and abandoned animals on Boracay is overwhelming. Every day, we receive reports of dogs and cats in need—many of them sick, injured, or at risk of euthanasia. Our small volunteer team does everything we can, but with limited resources, we can only help as many as our funding allows. BAARC relies entirely on donations to feed, shelter, and provide medical care for these animals.
How You Can Help
Your generous contribution can make a profound difference:
• £10 / $12 (₱700) can cover a rescued animal’s first vaccinations and deworming.
• £20 / $25 (₱1,500) can sponsor a rescued dog or cat’s food and basic medical care for a whole month.
• £50 / $60 (₱3,500) can fully cover a spay or neuter surgery, preventing more stray animals from being born into suffering.
• £250 / $310 (₱18,000) sponsors an animal’s food and medical care for an entire year.
No donation is too small; every bit helps us provide a better life for these animals.
