Willie (Papaw) and Kathryn Freeman (Mamaw) and Gavin Conerly Lost everything in a fire in the early morning hours of November 22, 2023. They left with just the clothes on their backs, they didn’t even have time to get shoes, keys, wallets, medicines, nothing. Willie Freeman is 88 years young and has dementia and has very little hearing left. Kathryn Freeman is 87 years young and is in advanced stages of Alzheimer’s and is almost completely reliant on a medical bed or a wheel chair. Gavin is their grandson and was their full time caregiver he also lost everything he owned, all his documents of achievements, his years of work and memories were in the home as well. They need money to get everyday essentials, medication, hospital bed, blood pressure machine, toiletries, adult diapers, clothes, shoes, jackets, medical devices, sleep clothes, wallets, beds, linens, pillows, blankets, an electric blanket because mamaw stays cold and so much more. Food that they can eat( both Mr. And Mrs. Freeman are on special diets, help with gas as they have relocated from Wesson Mississippi, to their daughter (Randi Freeman) home in Prairieville, Louisiana and will have to travel back and forth to work with organizing a cleanup getting their documents replaced, and so much more. They need keys made for their vehicles, heaters (they are always cold and this weather is not helping). Gavin needs clothing, toiletries, shoes, a bed, linens, pillows, a computer, and things of that nature that he can get back to some form of his normalcy as well. We will also need to make some wheelchair ramps as theirs also burned in the fire. A fire takes so much more than physical belongings, it took memories stored in pictures, home movies, lifetime achievements, and other things that can never be replaced. Please help us help them get back on their feet. They have lost so much already. We are trying to help them reach as close to a sense of normalcy as possible. They are essentially starting their whole lives over. Thank you so much for any and all donations. If you would like to help in any other way, please reach out to us. Thank you again for anything you are able to help with, even if it is just lifting them up in prayer.
