Helping the growth of a local food hub.

Hey! My name is Hollii.

I volunteer at a local food hub to help people

get food that they need and to prevent food from going to waste. We are on a pay as you feel basis and if you cannot afford to give then it’s still fine to take food that will help yourself and your family in times of need.

We take in donations via the pay as you feel and I would like to raise as much as I can to put towards the food hub with helping for new equipment and items that would help us run the hub day to day.

We collect food from local supermarkets and business’ that would be thrown away and have a hub where people come along and take what they need. The food is all safe and edible, it’s just the company’s policies that they have to bin the food, so we take it. So not only does it help the community it also prevents food waste. We have a kitchen every week too to supply those in need with a meal. I am shaving my head to raise funds to help out this amazing cause and it will also be done live on tiktok. This will be taking place the first week of june and I’m hoping to raise money to help the food hub with things they need to help store food and other necessities. :) Also my hair that’s being cut off will be sent off to the Little Princess Trust to help children in need of wigs.
