Helping the Hearn's

As many of you have probably heard by now my brother Jeramy has a spinal cord injury at C1-C2. He fainted late Thursday night after telling Heather that he was having needle like stabbing pains in his shoulders, chest, back, and arms. After he fainted, he was taken to Mercy Hospital by ambulance where they were told that he has spinal stenosis (narrowing of the spinal canal) and because of the fall, mixed with the stenosis it created a perfect setting for the spinal cord injury. They told Jeramy and Heather that after all the inflammation goes down, he will need spinal surgery to decompress his spine.

 
This is going to be a huge financial burden on them, as Jer won’t be able to work until he heals from the surgery. Surgery will be in 6 weeks and healing will be several weeks more then that. My hope is that we can help get them through this without them feeling the financial strain this situation is going to place on them! Jeramy and Heather have been there for so many others countless of times in need…they freely give their time, money, energy, love, and prayers, they always find a way to help those in need!

 
We are also asking that you continue to lift their family in prayer! Jeramy doesn’t like feeling as though he put his family in a struggling situation (even though it wasn’t his fault and was out of his control) and Heather well she is going to have so much more on her plate in the weeks to come, not only providing but also caring for Jeramy, Carter, and Colten! Instead of shared responsibilities it will all fall to her for the time being. She’s an amazing wife and mother (I always tell her this…Heather truly is an inspiration) while I know she can handle anything thrown her way, please just keep her in your daily thoughts and prayers!  We serve a mighty God who can do great things and we know healing is one of them! Whichever way Jer needs his healing…if God chooses to heal him prior to surgery or after, his journey wont be easy either.
