Helping the Heistands
As a community we unite in times of great sorrow. I want to take a moment and explain. William and Taylor Heistand are the epitome of what Germantown community means. Taylor works at the local daycare, and William teaches at the High School. William has also coached for many years various sports. They have deeply embedded themselves into
our community, our lives and our school system.
William and Taylor are not only friends but more
like family to me and our entire tennis community. The last few weeks have been very difficult
medically as Taylor’s pregnancy experienced some bumps in the road. We remained prayerful and
encouraging during these trials.
Ultimately, the Lord called the babies home early
this morning. To say William and Taylor are
devastated is an understatement. They are asking for some privacy as they work their way through
picking up the pieces and finding a new normal.
Many have asked what you can do to help. Up until now, that answer was still unknown to me.
However, tonight William asked me about the
possibility of aGoFundMe account. They are requesting no flowers or tokens be sent.
I am asking for your support to go towards funeral costs, to help ease their financial burden at this time. William and Taylor are such giving souls, I feel its the least we can do for them as a community. I have no idea how much a service will cost. But I do
know they are not inexpensive. So if you are inclined to help, please do so by contributing to the funeral and burial costs that have been incurred.
Thank you so much.
