Helping the Navarette's

Our family here at B&G is asking for your help. Our very own, Dave Navarette, AKA SUPER DAVE, has been diagnosed with Leukemia. Along with this diagnosis, his wife Elizabeth, AKA Mrs. Super Dave, has had to leave her job due to Dave's lowered immune system. Elizabeth worked with children, and is exposed to too many illnesses, she had to quit her job. Although this allows her to support and take better care of Dave, they are now facing financial hardship.

Dave is undergoing treatment and continued to work while receiving his first round of chemotherapy. Those who know Dave know he will stay positive. Dave is one of the most hardworking, proud, honest, and loyal men I know, and I'm sure you will all agree with that.

Unfortunately, he is sometimes too proud; he was admitted back into the hospital last week and didn't even tell us! He was discharged yesterday (September 16th) and is back home. His prognosis is good. It is just going to be a significant lifestyle change for them both. They are currently trying to get out of a lease with their current landlord, as the stairs are not sustainable for Dave currently. They have found a first-floor apt that will allow Dave to move around easier. He will even get to enjoy the outside more often.

We are asking for everyone's help! Any little bit you can donate will be highly appreciated. The goal is to raise as much money as possible to help pay for medical bills and other expenses they are incurring during this time.
