Helping the Poor and Needy People

As-salamu alaykum

My name is Shazia Khan.

We have all had time to reflect during the never-ending lockdowns  and self-isolation. For me, it has enabled me to think of the people in our ancestral homelands and the issues they face - on a magnitude and scale far greater than what we could hope to comprehend.

It is in this context that I decided that we ought to help, with whatever we can, those vulnerable people, widows, orphans who find themselves in a desperate situation.

Any funds raised will be directed to he lping the needy in the villages surrounding Khuiratta, Azad Kashmir, who have no means of providing for their families due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Such people, who used to survive on day-to-day basis by undertaking whatever menial labour they could muster, have had their sole source of income completely eradicated. Their inability to even feed their family is a living human tragedy.

These vulnerable people are without basic human necessities.

Your donations will be used to provide food packs for a month to support these vulnerable families.

The food packs will include the following:

5kg Sugar ( Chinni )
5kg Rice ( Chawal )
cooking oil bottle
5kg Pulses ( Dalain )
1kg Salt ( Namak )
1kg Red Chilli Powder ( Mirch )
1kg Dry Milk
