Helping The Ronai Family

On Wednesday May 11th Lorant [[Larry]] Ronai suffered a massive stroke at 44 years old. He was brought to Portsmouth Hospital where he was sent into emergency surgery to remove a large blood clot from his brain.
The Neurologist told the family that the outlook was pretty grim and if he fights through this he'll have a long road of recovery. He could potentially lose his speech and memory along with other major functions. We are all cautiously hopeful for a better outcome.
[[I’d like to take a minute to describe this man who is about to embark on the biggest race of his life. Larry is an incredible and loving Father, Son, Husband, Brother, Uncle, and Friend. He loves his family with every ounce of his being. Larry is a proud father, motorcycle enthusiast, Isle of man TT lover, the king of wheelies, avid ice rider and dedicated worker for the town of Rowley. He is an all around genuine guy. ]]
His wife, Holly, was told that good oxygen supply was getting to his tissues/organs. His vital signs were great and his lab work came back great! Before peak swelling Larry moved each of his limbs during neurological testing which gives us much hope!
Unfortunately, the intercranial pressure became too high and a decompressive hemicraniectomy was needed to relieve the pressure building up. This was his chance for survival amongst these new challenges.
Our guy pulled through! He is defying the odds and fighting a good fight and we can only hope and pray he continues down this path of healing.
The nuerosurgeon expects Larry to spend several weeks in the ICU, several weeks if not months in a step down unit followed by months of rehab. They are looking at a two year recovery path at this point in time.
At 39 years old, Larry’s father suffered from a similar fate. He recovered from a stroke and lived 30 more years. We believe Larry can, too, with a little help from ALL of us.
Larry and his family will face a long road ahead. Let’s rally behind the Ronai family and support them at this time! We can only hope that with our help: Holly, Lilly, and Lodi can be by his side.
WE can help EASE the financial burden of this medical emergency. It will help with the mortgage, utilities, gas, and all incoming medical bills. It will be one less thing for them to worry about and ALL their focus can go toward helping Larry heal.
On behalf of Larry’s family: “Keep the prayers and positive thoughts coming in guys we appreciate all the love and support!”
