Helping the Siegrist Family with Medical Expenses

Hello all!! Ann Millerbernd here...This fundraiser is on behalf of my friends, the Siegrist Family, to help support Brittany and the Siegrist Family as Brittany continues her fight with Stage 4 Uterine and Cervical cancer.

For those who know the Siegrist Family, they are a hard-working, loving, and playful family! Service to others has always been the motto of the Siegrist Family. Adam serves as a Deputy Sheriff with the Renville County Sheriff’s Office while Brittany is employed as a child care provider at Little Rascals 2 in Mohall, North Dakota. In addition to their employment, Adam and Brittany have been raising and guiding 3 wonderful little ones Easton 15, Kalli 11, and Archer 15 months, while continuing to build a home and life together in Sherwood, North Dakota.

Life couldn’t have been any better for the Siegrist Family until the unthinkable happened. What should have been a joyous and happy occasion, finding out that their family was expanding with a new pregnancy, it was revealed that Brittany was sick, very sick. Medical intervention was needed now! Brittany, a wife and mother to 2 beautiful children, with one on the way, was now in for the fight of her life!

To date, Brittany has had a partial cervix removal with 4 rounds of radiation. The doctors were optimistic that this intervention would be just what Brittany needed to recover and get back to being the wife and mother that the Siegrist Family was depending on. This procedure kept Brittany from working for two weeks which was manageable…but then the doctors had even more devastating news for the Siegrist Family. Additional cancerous cells were found on Brittany’s uterus. The only option to give Brittany a chance of survival was a total hysterectomy with additional chemotherapy. This was unexpected as doctors believed the partial cervix removal would help Brittany. This has now made it impossible for Brittany to work at the childcare that Brittany loves while Adam has worked tirelessly to not only be there to care for Brittany and their children, but continuing to serve as a Deputy Sheriff.

Brittany has recently undergone a total hysterectomy, but will have additional chemotherapy to ensure that Brittany is/remains cancer free! It is estimated that Brittany will be out of work for approximately 6-8 weeks, but anyone who has had cancer or has undergone chemotherapy, you know that your body is a better judge of healing than a doctors estimate.

Please help support the Siegrist Family as they continue to keep their family strong, unexpected medical bills paid, and allow for Brittany to recover without the additional stresses of the mounting medical costs and bills associated with her Cervical and Uterine cancer diagnosis and treatment. Adam and Brittany have held off on asking for financial assistance for the entire duration of Brittany’s fight, but now is the time to show the Siegrist Family our love and support!
