Helping the Stray Cats & Kittens in Cabri SK

Hi my name is Chantelle Emery and I am a huge animal lover and experienced animal rescuer. I am the owner of Swift Hearing Centers and a volunteer with the Cabri Community Garden. Cabri Saskatchewan Canada is a great small town that has a stray cat colony that hangs around a kind resident of Cabri that feeds them three times a day, has blankets he washes and puts in their beds in a shed. Some cats make their way in their house but mainly live outside under the car port or area. They would love to find homes for these cats as they are all strays that were initially dumped three cats and now has developed into a big colony out of their control. They do not have the means to help the kitties medically but has a huge heart to care for the stray population. I have reached out and offered to post the kitties online as I have experience with a computer and with animal rescues. For the past year I have been visiting, feeding, nursing the sick kittens, medicating and finding warm homes before it gets too cold. I have been successfully been able to rehome 13 cats and kittens in the past month to warm barns and family homes. The ones that are left need medical care and it gets very expensive having to take each one to the vet, get treatment, vaccination, spay & neuter, feed them and having the space indoors for them. I am more than willing to catch, transport, medicate and heal these sweethearts that have been dumped by humans. It gets to -40 degrees Celsius in the winters and kitties ear tips get frost bite and fall off. Kitties that don’t get medication are at risk for eye infections resulting in blindness, avoiding food and water, pneumonia and death. Currently there are about 10-13 cats and 4 kittens aged 5-6 months old.

I have a vet appointment on Nov 15th for the sickest cat with facial infection and wounds to see if he’s able to be helped. photo is below and is quite graphic:

This is the unfortunate reality and I want to help any that can be helped. Let’s join together and create a movement to house and help all the Cabri SK kitties.
