Helping to raise money for medical bills
Such a long story of what my sister Dawn has gone through in the past numerous years, trying to get through one thing after another, due to her rare autoimmune disease. After 3 open heart surgeries beginning at the age of 50, a carotid bypass, among so many other issues to list. Dawn is currently trying recover from sepsis. She had no choice but to go to a facility where they could administer infusions every 4-6 hours for six weeks through a MIDLINE. Normally Dawn is with our mother all week and then is able to go home on weekends, as she needs to be with someone all the time. Dawn’s insurance has covered a great deal, thank God. However, her extenuating stay at the facility and then the infusions being administered through her MIDLINE are NOT going to be covered. We are trying to hopefully raise funds to help her, as being on disability will not cover what the facility is starting to ask for. The infusions are expensive and also the stay past what insurance will pay for. This was a necessity to keep Dawn with us.
