I am a long time resident of Hidden Valley and recently a friend of mine had a heart attack, thankfully surviving when the Ambulance turned up and used a De–Fib (Defibrillator) the brought with them to save his life.

We are raising money for a defibrillator to be purchased for the use of ALL residents in Hidden Valley including La Dimora (Retirement Village).

Residents will have access to the Defibrillator 24/7 as it will be installed at a central resident’s location in a weather proof case.

The owner of the address where it will be located is a first aider and can lend assistance if required.

Heart attacks do not discriminate and age is no barrier so to be aware there is help is vital.

There was even a case a few years back where a De-Fib saved an 18-year-old footy player.

We are starting a GoFundMe account where the money will be held until we reach the goal of $2100 to purchase the De-Fib and storage box.

Just a footnote on the person who suffered the heart attack recently.

He was given CPR on the lounge room floor until Ambulance arrived for 18 minutes and underwent open heart surgery and is recovering well thank goodness.
