Helping Tonya with Medical Expenses

Hello, my name is Kaleb Sisco. I’m raising money for my mother Tonya Sisco. She’s going to see this and absolutely kill me because she’s not the type of person to want or accept handouts. But desperate times call for desperate measures. And frankly I’m worried to death about her.

A little bit about my mother:

Tonya is 56 years old, a single mother of three, and grandmother to one. To say that she is one of the most genuinely giving people is an understatement. She had a tendency to always forfeit her own health, well-being, and stability to ensure her kids and grandkids want for nothing. Which in turn raised all of us that way too.

Tonya has been a full time waitress providing for her family solely off of tips for over 20 years. Which to me makes her a modern day hero in my eyes. She’s never once complained. At least not to us lol. Being the sole bread owner of a house of 4, raising three crazy children who made her life a living hell every chance they could, and forfeiting her own happiness to ensure her kids never went without is Tonya.

Recently Tonya’s health has seen a decline. As of a couple months ago She has experienced major pains shooting throughout her body. Leaving her unable to work and support herself and her family. And to top it off has already received reconstruction surgery on one knee, which she’s still experiencing financial struggles from. She was supposed to have another surgery to replace the second knee soon, but unfortunately won’t be able to do so now because of her current situation. It’s Leaving her unable to move, support herself, and even stand. So much as a wrist bend to pick up the remote paralyzes her with pain. She’s on a waiting list to see a specialist in two months. But until then she’s sustaining herself by whatever the local doctors can provide her to ease the pain, and seeking as much help from her kids as they can provide. To say that it’s been rough having to adjust is an understatement. We and her Drs believe she has an autoimmune disease. Not exactly sure which, as the specialist is the only one who can decide that and issue treatment. If you don’t know what an autoimmune disease is, it’s a disease that tricks your brain into attacking itself in some form or fashion. Leaving you in agonizing pain, and unable to perform normal functions. Examples are Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis.

This money will go towards reliving her of financial burdens from her past surgeries, treatment for whatever Autoimmune Disease she may have, and her future Knee surgery yet to come. And it alleviate stress on her road to recovery.
