Helping Tosca after his attack&ongoing medication

Update 3
he’s been at home couple days now, he’s abit off his food and doesn’t seem himself. We think maybe it’s just the painkillers wearing off as the vet said his bloodwork was fine. We’re going to take him back early anyway
Hi, as lots of people have requested this I’ve set up this page. I’m looking for any help to get tosca his treatments he needs to help with his recovery, after a group of kids held him down by his collar and took turns kicking him. He was taken to Woodcroft veterinary hospital by a member of the public who stopped the attack. We aren’t expecting much, but any amount is seriously appreciated as we’ve been quoted £700 for his initial assessment. We are trying to find ways to make this cheaper , and asking animal charities to help as it’s classed as an animal abuse case. The police are involved and we are waiting on the cctv of the attack. Thank you for everyone’s concern it means a lot to us.
Update - he has stayed over night at the vets again for his blood work and X-ray and other medical things. We will know more later today and we just want to say Thankyou, because your donations have saved his life. We can’t believe the response we have gotten
update - I’ve just gotten the results from Toscas X-rays and bloodwork. It is confirmed he has a fractured sternum, but luckily they didn’t find the suspected hernia. So he can come home to rest with pain killers, & we need to take him back in a week or so to check if he is healing properly.
I can’t figure out how to email every donor for this update.
at the risk of jinxing his recovery we are stopping taking donations as we think his bills will now be covered, as we have been told he most likely will not need an operation. We are going to keep hold of the leftover money until his follow up appointment. & if there’s any left over after that, we were thinking to give it to an animal abuse charity (we don’t have specific charity in mind yet). Or we could potentially set up an award for info on the attackers. But for now all we can do is wait.
My family and I thank everyone so much from the bottom of our hearts because without the donations and money for the X-ray, tests, & painkillers the vet was recommending putting him to sleep. Which is understandable as we wouldn’t have wanted him living in pain. Thanks again everyone!
