Helping Underserved Hispanics in Montgomery

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our GoFundMe campaign for Nosotros Comunidad, a non-profit organization that focuses on unmet needs in the Hispanic community. Our medical partner, Skye Urgent Care and Family Medicine is one way we outreach with the ministry to the community by providing lower-cost healthcare to Hispanics and other underserved in their native languages. We are passionate about making a difference in the lives of those we serve.

In April, we will launch El Centro, a location for providing other services such as Business/Personal Financial classes, Legal and Immigration Assistance, Employment Assistance and other Counseling services. We hope to teach members of the community how to open a bank account, the steps to get business insurance, and the most effective ways to market their company through advertising. This initiative is aimed at empowering individuals to take control of their finances and achieve greater financial stability. We also hope to offer legal assistance for those seeking to establish citizenship or needing legal assistance with other parts of their lives.

In May, we are excited to host a job fair at El Centro where companies will come to meet with members of the community for possible employment opportunities. This is a wonderful chance for members of the community to meet with potential employers and showcase their skills and talents.

In the future, we hope to also establish fully subsidized mental health counseling in native languages in hopes to address the trauma or need for counseling in other areas of their lives.
