Help 9yo Alex Get Double Lung Transplant

Alex's family is asking for donations to help fund his double lung transplant. Alex is our 9 year old boy who was just recently diagnosed with HHT (Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia)- an EXTREMELY rare hereditary disease which causes defective blood vessels in his lungs. He is undergoing blood tests, hospital stays, emergency room visits, CAT scans, ambulance rides, and extensive testing, along with having to use an oxygen tank at all times.

After his last stay at the hospital, the doctors said that he will be needing the lung transplants but was unsure of how soon it would have to be done. On Christmas Eve, we received the heartbreaking news that he needs the two new lungs as soon as possible. He has gotten progressively worse. His weak lungs are making the other organs in his body work too hard, therefore he needs the double lung transplant before the other organs in his body fail.

Alex has a single mother with three young children, she needs your help more than you know. Alex needs to get from Washington State to Texas to undergo testing to prepare for the transplants, and then go back to Texas again for the operation. All donations will go directly to medical expenses, traveling expenses, and necessary support for the family. Any amount truly helps.
