Helping Andean Wings Boutique Hotel
Donation protected
My name is Lesley Myburgh, I am co-owner of Andean Wings Boutique hotel in Cusco Peru.
Last night, September 17th, a fire broke out in the lounge area of our hotel, burning the lounge and two suites and the roof of these areas. Apparently the fire was caused by youngsters playing with big fireworks, one of which seems to have landed on the roof.
Last night we were full, and obviously we had to move our guests all to other hotels which we had to pay for. A large tour company canceled the reservations made for the next 4 days of entire hotel. We have many reservations at the moment and for the future. Without the said two suites and the lounge bar area, this makes it extremely difficult (almost impossible) to host our guests and therefore we stand to lose reservations as well as income for the hotel. This affects not only our guests but also our staff, who have been with us for the five years that we have been operating.
Our friends have offered to send donations, as they have stayed in the hotel and love it, and people that work there, and us. The cost for repair is very high, and we need to get the hotel repaired as soon as possible.
We are enormously grateful to our friends for their support, that they have offered freely.
Blessings, love and gratitude
