Police: Mission toHaiti & D.R.
Officers helping Officers
Operation Hispaniola
I am a police officer who formerly served as a United Nations peacekeeper. I am working together with another who is a Master Sergeant in the US Army reserve. Together we have dedicated over 40 years of service to our local community and country. Having reached this milestone, we have realized it is better to give than to receive.
Hispaniola is a large island, located in the Caribbean, the Greater Antilles. It is the second largest island in the Caribbean after Cuba, and the tenth most populous island in the world. The island is divided politically into the Republic of Haiti to the west and the Dominican Republic to the east. Operation Hispaniola was an idea of giving back, during a recent trip to Haiti and the Dominican Republic. We observed police officers in both countries serving their communities diligently. After speaking with a few of them we decided to return as a gesture of goodwill.
We coordinated a book bag give away for the families of Police Officers in Haiti and the Dominican Republic. We decided to collaborate this effort with our colleagues, partners, and communities.
Our goal is to donate 300 book bags in Haiti and 300 book bags in the Dominican Republic. We are optimistic that we will surpass our goal, which will allow us to support other organizations that have requested our assistance.
We are grateful for the support of all who donated and would like to recognize these organizations:
· Covered Law enforcement
· Fellowship of Christian Peace Officers
· Miami-Dade Police Department
local businesses:
· Adolphe Supermarket
· Garcia’s Seafood Restaurant
· ABAMASTERS Inc.
· Alina Sportswear Printing
· AMDA Distributors
· Montero Shipping
· RADIOMIAMI 1450

We will make a difference in the lives of these officers and the community that they serve, with your support.
