Jonathan Lopez struck by stray bullet
Donation protected
Hi, everyone. This is John, Jonathan’s buddy and business partner. By now you’ve heard the news that he was hit by a stray bullet while he was cooking on our taco truck with our other partner Konstantin and myself. The goal here is to raise enough so that he doesn’t have to think about finances and to help him make his triumphant return to taco truck domination once again.
Here’s what happened.
Jonathan, Konstantin and I were in the middle of a late night rush of orders when a stray bullet popped through the wall and struck Jonathan. He was at the grill cooking off tacos, most likely talking mad trash to Konstantin, when it happened.
All we know is while parked outside the bar, there was an altercation. It escalated to a single shot fired and Jonathan was hit.
He underwent several hours of surgery and is now recovering in the hospital. Thanks to Konstantin’s quick thinking, an off-duty nurse who happened to be on scene, and the many medical professionals who took care of him along the way, our guy made it.
Thank god.
Jonathan’s dream is to cook on a food truck. We began to make that dream a reality this past summer when we rented out this truck. Now he is sidelined from that dream.
But if you know Jonathan, you know that he’ll be hell-bent on getting back on his feet and cooking with maniacal glee as soon as he’s able.
Of course, given the injuries he sustained and the recovery he has to endure, his journey back to full health is going to take time.
That is where YOU come in.
This is an invitation to all of you to help relieve Jonathan of any financial pressure, and to help him thrive physically and financially. Free to rest and heal, he’ll be back with us sooner than later.
The toll of all this is tough, but our guy is strong and will recover.
He’s also a salty bastard who won’t stay down for long.
Our focus is on Jonathan’s well-being and giving him the support he needs. Between the medical bills and being out of work for the foreseeable future, he is going to need as much love as we can give. Let’s raise the money Jonathan needs to eliminate his financial burden AND to get him set up in a truck of his own that will be ready & waiting for him once he has healed!
All the love,
John
