Karina’s Medical Expenses

Dear family, friends, and greater community, 

We are asking for your donation to help cover Karinas’ hospital bills. 

Karina was diagnosed with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (Also known as Crohns Disease) back in July 2017. Since then, she has been hospitalized and is currently undergoing treatment for her condition. On Friday, January 12, 2018, she had the first of four surgeries, and she is to remain in the hospital until all four surgeries are completed. 

Due to her condition, Karina was unable to start school at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where she was hoping to begin her studies in the fall, to major in Biology.

Throughout High School, Karina kept herself focused and involved. She was a cheerleader during her four years, while maintaing a grade point average of a 4.0, and was still able to volunteer and give back to her community. 

During this difficult time, Karina’s family needs your support.

Karina’s mother had to stop working to stay in the hospital with her, while her father keeps her family at float. However, hospital bills continue to pile up. We ask for your help and support during these difficult times. Anything you can give will be greatly appreciated.
