Join Me in Saving More Stray Dogs From the Street

Over the last year, I've been sharing my Ironman 70.3 journey on YouTube, and if you’ve been following along, you’ve probably met my running buddy, Ollie. He’s become a regular feature in my videos.

But there’s a darker side to this story.

In many developing countries, animals are often cruelly treated. Here in Vietnam, an estimated 5 million dogs are slaughtered each year for the dog meat trade.

Much of it is run by organized crime, and dog theft is rampant. Pets are frequently electrocuted and stolen, usually by men on motorbikes. This happens daily.

Ollie was one of the lucky ones. He was once a stray, roaming the streets with a severe skin infection, before being rescued by Laws for Paws Vietnam - a volunteer-run organization in Vietnam that rescues, rehabilitates, and rehomes abandoned or abused dogs and other animals.

Without their intervention, Ollie’s story could have ended very differently.
