Show support for helpless mare and foal killed

Lauren Sapsted has a true passion for horses and is a hardworking sportswoman, well known in the equine industry and on the showjumping circuit for producing exceptional horses.

On Monday morning at what we believe to be approximately around 4am there was an attack on her stables. Not only did they enter her stables and the buildings, they let all of the horses out of their paddocks before proceeding to viciously attack her broodmares. One of the broodmares has sustained an injury to the face, the other broodmare who was due to foal in 3 weeks time was taken to the corner of the field before having her leg broken. As if this wasnt bad enough the stress of this caused the mare to go into early labour and suffer a traumatic death. Subsequently both the mare and foal died. To add to the awful experience, Lauren's 7 year old daughter found the mare in the field when searching for her and needless to say has been left very traumatised.

This foal was being bred for her daughter as a future competition horse.

Any money we raise beyond the reward will go towards costs for the removal of the dead horse and stallion services to put the other broodmare in foal for next year for her daughter Belle.

We've set up this go fund me page in order to raise money for a reward to find the sick minded person who did this.

As Lauren's friend I'm sure she will really appreciate any contribution big or small and hopefully with a cash reward we may be given information leading to the prosecution of the sick person responsible.
