Hi Yall, I am the older sister of Terry Lynn Speckmann. She has Lung cancer in her upper L lobe. Terry quit smoking 6 years ago, only to find out the effects continue. Smoking use to be more socially acceptable. With a desire to live longer for her precious grand children, she was able to quit smoking and work on her health. Terry is a widow and her only son died about 8 years ago, leaving two children who need her presence. Terry is 63, lives alone in a small apartment and is on a very tight monthly income. She has had to depend on a nearby food pantry to help with her groceries and a local church to help with increasing utility bills. Terry and I lost our parents when Terry was only 4 years old...yes, her story has been of struggles most of her life. He faith in the Lord and love for her little family drive her to fight to live. Starting Sept 1, Terry needs a deposit of $400 to start her chemotherapy in Rowlett TX with Dr Reddy. She then will be paying approx $200 month thereafter to continue treatment. The total cost for her daily radiation treatment is about $70 a day x5 days =350$ x 6 weeks= $2100, Her part. We haven't had this broken down as of yet. So praying for help and watching faith act. Medications for her treatment is figured about $200. Driving on the Tollway daily to get to the Radiation costs about $10 a day....300$.
