Help us Escape the War

Hello, my name is Marjolaine and I am currently fundraising on behalf of my friend Hala who is trapped in Gaza. We wish to see them alive soon out of Gaza’s terror and violence.

Hello, my name is Hala and I'm writing this from Gaza and I hold a Master Degree of Business Administration.

We were so happy to start our new life together. We put all our savings into buying a small apartment, where we hoped to raise a family someday.

But our dreams were shattered when the Israeli airstrikes began. One night, we heard a loud explosion and saw our building on fire. We barely managed to escape with our lives from the middle area to the south “Rafah", but we lost everything we owned in the flames. Our apartment, our furniture, our clothes, everything was gone.

We also lost our jobs, as our offices were destroyed by the bombs. We have been unemployed for five months now, and we have no income, no savings, no insurance, no support. We are living in tents camp with other displaced people, where we face constant threats of killings, disease, and hunger. We left again to the middle area since “Rafah” is also attacked and bombed as well; there is no safe place in Gaza.

We want to escape this nightmare. We want to leave Gaza and find a safe place where we can rebuild our lives. We want to have a future, a hope, a chance. But we can't do it alone. We need your help.

The only way out of Gaza is through Egypt, but the border is closed and the fees are exorbitant. We need $7000-$9000 each to pay for the evacuation, plus some extra money to cover our expenses in Egypt until we can find a permanent destination. We are hoping to travel to a country that will welcome us as refugees and allow us to work and live in peace.

We are asking you to please donate whatever you can to our campaign. Every dollar counts, every cent makes a difference. We are grateful for any amount you can spare, and we will use it wisely and responsibly. We will also keep you updated on our progress and our situation.

We know there are many other causes that need your attention and your generosity. We know we are not the only ones who are suffering and struggling. But we are also human beings, who deserve dignity and respect. We are also hopeful that there is a better world out there, where we can live in harmony and freedom.
