Help Melissa & Tim Malone rebuild. Please consider donating to help Melissa & Tim recover from the devastation caused by the wildfires in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

My name is Laurie Tate and I'm from Louisiana. My sister Melissa and brother-in-law Tim, live in Gatlinburg, TN, with their teenage daughter (another daughter was away at college). On the night of November 28, 2016,  Melissa & Tim were forced to take their family and evacuate from their home due to the encroaching wildfires. Thankfully, they all made it out safely. However, when they returned on the afternoon of November 29, 2016, what they found was a smoking shell that bore no resemblance to the home they had left only hours earlier. As you can see from the photos, nothing was spared. The fires consumed everything, leaving melted metal, bricks, ashes and smoke in its wake. Not a memory left to save. Now, they are faced with the bleak task of rebuilding both, their home and their lives. They begin this journey with only the items they had in their vehicle when they drove away.

Let's lend a helping hand. The donations made will be withdrawn directly by Melissa, so that she and Tim will have immediate access to the money raised to assist them as they set out on this journey. They will need to find a place to stay, buy clothing, food, toiletries, furniture, building supplies, appliances, school supplies, get their daughter back into school, hire crews to clear out, clean and build, and replace as much as possible. Your donation(s) will help Melissa and Tim in the coming months as they get back on their feet and rebuild their home, and ultimately their lives.  I pray that at some point they will be able to get away, whether it be to visit family or just get away to take their minds off of this, as I'm sure the enormity of what they're facing will take its toll if they do not step back from it all at some point and just breathe. This is unlikely due to finances; however, if by some miracle, the funds become available, they may eventually be used for this. Obviously, finding a place to live & rebuilding their home takes priority.
