Support the adventure and a big project in Sicily

Hi everybody,

I'm Luca a 34yo man from Italy (Sicily,Palermo)

In my life I studied Civil Engineering but I'm also an Escursionistic Guide and an Educator. I love to practice Alpinism and climbing, Highline, permaculture, martial arts and yoga, I also love to bike travel and to develop project which can support the community where I live.

I'm curently travelling by bike in South America and in order not to squeeze this travel only on its own I decided to develop this opportunity and, while sharing the trip on the socials, to try to collect donations in order to give a help to my community once back home next summer.

I thought, why not? let's try! So here I am.

I found one earlyborned assosiation from Palermo called COLLETTIVO REWILD SICILY. It's basically a group of guys who love nature and who want to make the difference trying to stop or rewind some processes which are changing and destroying our beloes sicilian environment. I could have not found a better reality to collaborate with, since they are totally in line with my lifestyle, travel style, and they love Sicily like me!

About the usage of the donations, I will use the 20% tu support a little part of my travel cost (probably a part of the flight ticket to come back, so please help me about that), while the other 80% will be totally devolved to support the initiative.

All the transactions will be crystal clear, well explained and recorded.

This is the plan:

ferry boat from Palermo to Roma ->ferry boat from Roma to Barcellona -> cycling trough Spain until Cadiz (little stop in Valencia to give some help) -> ferry boat to Tenerife -> looking for a sailing Atlantic cross crew until Martinica island -> any other boat to enter Venezuela -> climbing Pico Bolivar -> cycling to Colombia -> climb Pico Cristobal and Tolima -> to cross Colombia (Bogotá) -> to enter Ecuador and to reach Quito and Cuenca -> to climb Cotopaxi and Chimborazo -> to enter Peru and reaching the Huascaran mountain -> to cross Bolivia and its Highlands -> to enter Cile and to start the Ruta40 -> stop in Mendoza to climb the Aconcagua -> to reach Punta Arenas in Patagonia -> to cycle back up until Buenos Aires -> to fly back in Europe -> to cycle back home.

Nella mia vita ho studiato ingegneria civile ma sono anche una Guida Ambientale Escursionistica A.I.G.A.E., istruttore di arrampicata all'interno della sezione CAI di Palermo, educatore ambientale. Amo praticare alpinismo e arrampicata, highline, arti marziali, yoga, permacultura e sviluppare progetti che possano supportare la comunità in cui vivo. Amo anche viaggiare in bicicletta e vivere avventure in natura.

Al momento sto viaggiando in bicicletta in Sud America e, non volendo lasciare questo viaggio fine a se stesso, ho deciso di non perdere questa opportunità e, condividendo tutto sui socials, voglio cercare di raccogliere fondi e donazioni per supportare una realtà attiva una volta rientrato in Sicilia. Ho pensato:<< perchè no? proviamoci >>. Ed eccomi qua.

Dopo un po' di ricerche ho scelto di collaborare con il COLLETTIVO REWILD SICILY, un gruppo di ragazzi impegnati nell'ambiente per fermare o invertire processi che stanno via via danneggiando il territorio siciliano.

Non avrei potuto trovare di meglio e sono felice di poter supportare il loro lavoro.

Riguardo l'utilizzo dei fondi vorrei utilizzare il 20% di essi per supportare alcuni dei miei costi di viaggio (per esempio una parte del biglietto aereo di ritorno). Il restante 80% di essi sarà interamente devoluto. Ogni transazione sarà trasparente, spiegata e documentata.
