Please Help My Mom and Dad
Donation protected
Hello, and thank you for checking out our page.
Early on the morning of March 25, a tree fell through my parents’ trailer home. The tree was very old and rotten, and it snapped during an ice storm. The tree fell directly through the roof of my parents’ bedroom, missing my mother by mere inches. Much of their furniture and personal effects were destroyed. Their home is now unlivable, and they need a new place to live. Unfortunately, their home owner’s insurance gave them very little reimbursement for their home. They now need to purchase a new mobile home, as well as have the old one disposed of. My parents have very little money despite working hard their whole lives. My mother is disabled, and my father works as a maintenance professional at the National Institute for Environmental Health Sciences in Durham, NC.
My parents are wonderful people who have always helped others in need. Although we weren’t rich, they made sure that me and my sister had everything we needed growing up, including lots of love. Now that they have nowhere to live, it is my goal to do everything I can do provide them with place to live that is safe and functional. I know that there are many worthy causes out there, but this situation has gotten desperate. My parents have nowhere to live and need as much help as possible. We have exhausted all other resources. We would be eternally grateful for any donation, no matter how small.
The most important thing is to remove the trailer. The estimated cost is $2,500. After that, we will need $1,500 to replace the furniture that was lost, which includes their bed, two dressers and a nightstand.
Thank you very much, and have a great day.
