TIKTOK IS CRUSHING OUR NONPROFIT

Tax deductible

On March 23, 2023, "Project Texas" garnered global attention. A simple Google search of "Project Texas" will show how deeply our nonprofit, Project Texas -- a small minority-owned 501(c)(3) nonprofit headquartered in Dallas, has been negatively impacted and our mission-related work is suffering. Due to national security concerns surrounding the improper use of data, the United States, European Union, Canada, and India have banned TikTok. TikTok is trying to circumvent this ban by coming up with an initiative called "Project Texas." In doing this, TikTok has assumed our nonprofit's brand and done irrevocable damage to our mission and outreach. This is a David v. Goliath situation -- the big guy crushing the little guy.

The problem? WE ARE PROJECT TEXAS. We are not associated with TikTok, and we, a small minority-owned 501(c)(3) nonprofit took several precautions to ensure our brand remained healthy to serve Texans and obtained a registered and active trademark with the United States Patent & Trademark Office. We have been buried under TikTok, and our brand is suffering -- TikTok, the $75 billion company, will not stop using our name.

Our prayer is people hear this story and help us. We love our state and the people of Texas and have dedicated our mission to solely standing up and fighting for the little guy. And now, we'd never imagine we would be the little guy being crushed by the big guy. We have tirelessly labored to promote the general welfare among Texans by leveraging the power of Civic Engagement. We know our impacts have the potential to heighten neighborhood security, strengthen the workforce, improve healthcare and securing housing for Texans. We are asking you to find it in your heart to please support us and help us raise funds that will go directly and positively impact our work -- www.thisisprojecttexas.org/impact. Project Texas has and continues to protect elections and protect voters choices around our great state.

We thank you so much for your support, and we look forward to working with all Texans to continue making this state great. It may be a little hard to find us now, but for more information, please visit www.thisisprojecttexas.org.
