Rebecca's Lyme Treatment Costs 2016

Many of you have followed my story for the last several years since I went public with my diagnosis of Advanced Late Stage Lyme Disease (and Cancer) three years ago. Since that time three years ago when doctor after doctor, specialist after specialist were stating the obvious: "your bloodwork is beyond concerning but we have no idea what is going on", when I was looking at getting my first IV nutrients, was spending 3-4 days each week in the Emergency Room or hospital, was unable to walk, was told I would never be able to eat properly again, and was told that certain organs were going into failure I have been fighting for my health and my life back.
Today, three LONG years later we are seeing progress continued and moving forward. this time at the good news of progress being continued. I am currently in my second month of this round of treatment (there are 9-10 months to this particular round), celebrating the news that my blood work is improving and showing that my treatment protocol is helping me heal from Lyme, that my digestive system (that I was told was " beyond repair") is able to handle a nutritious diet, that only one organ is currently in failure compared to numerous ones, and we continue to rejoice that recent blood work shows that I have NO heart complications from Lyme. We are crying joyful & grateful tears and praising the Lord! There is a long way at to go, but we are rejoicing at how far I have come!!
Unfortunately because this has been such a LONG journey financial resources are exhausted and that is why I have created this "Go Fund Me Page" for the year 2016. Here are the breakdown of expenses for the upcoming year (as we know them right now):
Doctors Appointments: approx. $5000
Antibiotics/IV Antibiotics: $12000
IV Nutritional Therapy: $5980
Supplements, Herbs, Oils, Etc.: $5400
Alternative Therapies (Acupuncture, Relfexology, additional therapies): $1320
Travel to Lyme Doctor (across the country) & Other Appointments (in and out of state) (includes tolls, ferry costs, plane trips, gas, etc.) : approx. $10000
TOTAL: $39700
(This total does not include medical bills, daily life expenses, food, etc.)
You can follow my journey in more detail on my blog: www.caravansonnet.com, shop in my Etsy Shop (where a portion of my proceeds go to help pay for medical expenses) at: www.decembercaravan.etsy.com or find out about my writing & speaking which also helps pay for expenses at: www.rebeccavandemark.com.
Thank you so much for all of your support in this very long journey! You are truly a blessing!
