Richie Lee's Neck Surgery Recovery

Many of us in Nashville have the joy of knowing Richie Lee. For some of us it is through his personal training and kickboxing classes, for others it is through his inspirational, funny and selfless friendship. For all of us it is his charm, wit, and instantly likable personality that draws us to him. Richie has transformed so many minds and bodies that the scope of his impact on lives just can’t be measured. Richie continually gives back to our community. He has been a constant contributor of his time and resources to organizations such as hosting the Mayor’s Fitness Field Days, Susan G. Komen and the Second Harvest Food Bank. Richie also launched a child fitness program at Karisma, in his effort to help eliminate childhood obesity. He contributes to homeless support groups, and he tirelessly supports and advocates for military members, first responders, and their families. He embodies the spirit of East Nashville in all he does and in everyone he touches.
As he has given so much, it is now time to give back. This Friday, January 13, Richie is going to undergo a very serious surgery to repair five vertebrae in his neck. The surgeon is going to have to cut his throat to reach his spine. Then they will rebuild his spine like the "Six Million Dollar Man". It is going to be intense and painful. It will also require several months of recovery, therapy and support. During this time he will be unable to run his business, spending much of his time in intensive physical therapy.
Richie needs our help! We are helping Richie raise funds to get him through this recovery period. With his business down and the mounting medical expenses, he needs approximately $25,000 to cover medical costs, therapy expenses, living expenses, and the loss of business revenue. Can we come together as a community and give back to someone who has, and continues to, give us so much?
