Hospital bills

Our dad Robert Stone fell down a flight of stairs the other night in our home around 2 AM and fell straight into the wall. Our mom told us that she woke up to him screaming for help. Thank god he didn’t break his back, but he did break his neck and has a badly bruised spine. He is now in the ICU at UMASS Memorial Hospital in Worcester, MA, and is expected to have a recovery time of about a year and a half to two years. The worst case scenario is that there is a 50% chance his condition won't improve and he might remain in a hospital bed for the remainder of his life. Right now he can barely even feel his arms. Everything below his shoulders is completely; however, temporarily paralyzed. Assuming the swelling along his spinal cord goes down, he will attend rehab for many months until he gains mobility and his freedom back. The cost of the healing process will be a huge burden on our family and will surely have us in debt for many years to come and is going to be far more than anyone would care to manage. It makes providing him the best care possible even harder. My sister and I are extremely sad as we love our dad more than anything and can not stand to see him in this great pain and depression. Any type of donation would help, but we just pray this will all work out and he'll make it out on a positive note. Thank you all and God bless.
