Who are we and what is Trek Shorts? We are a group that is producing Star Trek inspired short films on a regular basis, with a talented cast & crew and from a wide variety of Star Trek eras.

There is something for everyone in the films we produce! But, all productions cost and while we have had some success in past crowd funding campaigns, those funds are not enough to carry us through to our next Indiegogo in July. We really want to keep shooting in the meantime but to do so we need to raise more of the needed budget. So many stories and we need you to help us realise them.

All funds raised will go towards new uniforms / props / hard drive storage and shooting day costs.

We also are looking to raise some bonus funds to create a sequel short film for our recent "Fallen Heroes" film released in April 2023. This release was a documentary style film which has “Ensign Sam Harriman” recounting the events surrounding the loss of the Enterprise D. Many of our fans have asked us to create a story which brings Harriman decades later to the Fleet Museum featured in Star Trek: Picard Season 3...and see his reaction to the resurrected ship, his home…the Enterprise D.

For this film, we have already got a number of digital sets ready to go and our artists are working to create new ones, such as the Engineering, Crew Quarters and more. We want to create a love letter to the Enterprise D and expand on ST: Picard’s idea of seeing the ship come back to life, but with the added advantage of going to many other parts of the ship! We all felt so many…powerful emotions when we saw the Enterprise D return in Picard, now’s our chance to make our own fan film version.

Another exciting element of this campaign is that we want to fund a new batch of uniforms for the whole cast. The 2380's-2390's as seen on Star Trek: Prodigy. By getting these new uniforms produced, based on our test blue uniform which we scratch made, we can continue telling stories with our entire cast past Nemesis. The characters can age and we, the audience, get to watch these new adventures with older and more experienced characters.

Trek Shorts has become an wonderful journey for me, as someone who realised that film making is his passion at the age of 14...now 16 years later I have a well known web series called Trekyards, the most viewed Stargate fan film on You Tube, my largest film “Temporal Anomaly” with almost 700k views and now with Trek Shorts released 12 new films since April 2021.

What a journey, and we have a LOT more to show and a lot we want to do which is unique to the fan film community.
