I Am Planning To Donate A Piece Of My Liver
To Save An 11 Year Old Girl.

I am raising money to pay for my medical and travel expenses so that I can be a live liver donor for Allexis.

I have passed the first and second stages of testing for live liver donation. The next step is to travel to Toronto for additional testing and appointments with the transplant surgical team at Toronto General Hospital.

I have appointments scheduled from Monday, April 13 - Thursday, April 16. If all goes well, pre-admission is scheduled for 7:00 am Friday, April 17. I'm hoping that will be the day that Allexis will finally get a new liver and can begin the road back to health.

Alexis has been struggling with Liver Disease since she was 3 months old. She has had 8 surgeries in the past two years and Doctors say it is critical that she receive a transplant as soon as possible.

I have set the goal for $10,000.00. This will pay for mine and my Mom's travel and accommodations for approximately one month in Toronto.  

As a donor I will be required to stay in hospital for approximately one week after surgery, and remain in Toronto for up to another 2 weeks.

I want to be clear, at any time during the pre-surgery testing, the surgical team can decide that I am not the best fit and I will be sent home. Let's pray that it all works out for Allexis.

Any money left over will be given to Allexis and her family.  They also have a fundraising campaign going and they too need your donations.
